"Trace has enabled me to control with confidence all the fleet legal obligations around inspections, MOTs, tachographs and the taxing of vehicles. It gives me stock level parts cost control with flexible warranty periods. It also gives transparency of the in-house mechanics’ hours and the type of work they carry out. We feed in all the contractor costs from all around the UK and split out accident work. My team can build and run reports on anything using the various data on the systems. This enables Pepsico to make informed decisions on vehicle types, contactors and the parts suppliers we use" Dave Parkes, Fleet Engineer Pepsico UK and Ireland |

To manage your commercial fleet, you’ll need to be multi-disciplined but TRACE makes this easy for you. Administering the ownership and use of your fleet is your top priority and the TRACE system incorporates this within your standard system.
Whole life fleet management Fleet cost management module records all costs affecting a vehicle especially, but not limited to, maintenance and fuel. Other costs can include vehicle taxation and insurance. Our vehicle record module can hold budget details that can be compared to actual, and exception reporting will highlight vehicles that need action. Fleet fuel management saves your time and money by importing electronic data from both on-site control systems and charge cards. You can identify cost reductions because errors are immediately highlighted, as are strange mileages and mpgs (kpls). By monitoring costs, maintenance and repairs, as well as targeting MPG’s and providing for exception reporting and vehicle-to- vehicle comparisons, we can help you identify the most efficient vehicles, makes and models and tyres; this helps you with your Green credentials and targets. Fleet accident management module will enable you to record accidents down to the finest detail. TRACE helps you monitor the progress of each and every accident claim and tells you which vehicles and which drivers seem accident-prone. It also has the facility to highlight road conditions and times of day. The Portable inspection system and paperless job card (one unit) utilising GPRS (Mobile Phone Technology) allows engineers to work either in the workshop or on-site away from base. The units are robust and conform to IP65. The main advantage of TRACE is that data transfers instantly back to base which speeds up invoicing and enhances customer service; using TRACE, you can report the inspection result to your client just minutes after the job has been completed. Flexibility is key so TRACE allows jobs to be raised centrally or by the engineer himself on site. Our Field Engineer software is an alternative choice using a laptop. Many travelling engineers already have portable computers and the TRACE software loads easily onto any standard laptop so no significant investment is required. Job data, work done, labour and parts used are captured on the lap top and then transmitted, via one of a number of methods, back to the base TRACE system for automatic updating. |
